Updated Mask Guidance

Based on Illinois’ recent change in COVID mitigations, the Woodlawn Arts Academy Board of Directors has voted to transition to a “MASK STRONGLY RECOMMENDED/MASK OPTIONAL” environment for all afternoon and evening programs. This will begin Wednesday, March 2, 2022. All morning programming will still be asked to wear a mask until further guidance is given from DCFS. It is our expectation that DCFS will update its guidance in the near future.

Although masks will not be required, many patrons may choose to continue to wear a mask, especially those who are immunocompromised and children under the age of 5 who are not eligible to be vaccinated. We support this individual choice option and will continue to maintain our enhanced cleaning methods. We also continue to strongly encourage both staff and patrons to refrain from entering the building or attending programming if they have symptoms related to COVID-19.

We recognize that this has been a long couple of years, but please be assured that we are committed to providing you safe and innovative artistic opportunities.

Thank you for your support in helping us make this transition a positive experience for all our valued customers and our staff. We are excited for all that 2022 will bring and the opportunities available for our patrons.
