Woodlawn Dance Academy is an established dance studio that is proud to serve the Sauk Valley area. Our goal is to offer quality programs while creating an environment for positive learning and, most of all, FUN! 4th-8th grades

“Aladdin Jr.” Theatre Production

If you love to act, sing and dance, or have always wanted to be on stage and learn more about theatre, take part in our great performance opportunities! Have fun while learning about acting, singing, dancing, set design and more! Everyone who registers will be a part of the production and will audition to determine specific roles.  This program is specifically for our outreach theatre program with Dixon Public Schools, and participants must be students at Madison School or Reagan Middle School. Rehearsal Times & Dates: AT REAGAN MIDDLE SCHOOL: 3:30-5:30pm Mon & Wed, 11/29/21-1/12/22 AT DIXON HIGH SCHOOL: 3:30-5:30pm

Broadway in Chicago Bus Trip: ‘Frozen’

Join us for the magic and wonder of “Frozen” live on stage! Seats are limited and sell fast, so register right away! Bus departs the Woodlawn Farmhouse parking lot at 8:30am. Time in Chicago for shopping & lunch on your own before the 2pm showtime. Dinner (not included in cost) on the way back. Return to Woodlawn by 8:30pm. All ages welcome, but children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Creator Club Session 2

Home-school students & those not yet in school: Have fun & Meet new friends at Creator Club! Creativity and friendship unite! This program is for students who are not yet in school and those who are homeschooling. Socialize with friends while doing science, art, drama, culinary, music and dance! Class themes and activities will be centered around the interests of the participants.

Lunchtime Yoga

Experience balance and harmony through a slow and mindful yoga practice, designed to release tension, reduce stress and promote relaxation. The instructor will place a strong emphasis on self-awareness, breath and honoring the body. No experience is necessary. This class is appropriate for both beginners and students with limitations, as well as experienced practitioners looking for a less physically challenging and more relaxation-based practice.

Audition Workshop

Seeking dedicated dancers for our next award-winning team! Learn combos and audition during the workshop. Please bring all dance shoes, water and a snack. These teams are for ages 6-18, who want the chance to compete and perform. Our goal is to build well-rounded, confident and technically strong dancers while providing great performance opportunities. By the end of this unique experience, our dancers will strive for excellence and have a strong sense of community and team. Nutcracker Dance Camp

Dancers from all area studios are encouraged to join! Dancers who participate in this camp will be given the opportunity to perform in “The Nutcracker.” Dance experience is required. Students will audition for parts and learn the dances during the week-long camp, then attend bi-monthly Saturday rehearsals throughout the fall in order to perform the ballet. You do NOT need to be a Woodlawn Dance Academy student to participate, and we will do our best to work around other studios’ schedules for additional rehearsals this fall.
